Thread: Question for the vendors out there.

I feel like there's a better way to go about asking this, but....

I'm hosting a one-day workshop in the spring, with a "laid-back" drum circle hafla to follow. Spaces are very limited (25 max). All proceeds beyond covering my costs will go to breast cancer research (I will make no money).

For the hafla, I do not (luckily) have to pay for the space. Attendees will be expected to buy food or drinks because it is at a restaurant location, but I won't have to charge a big entrance fee. I'd like to charge a $3 entrance fee and donate all of that entrance fee to the same charity (will be Susan Komen, but I am not allowed to use their name officially until I either clear it with them, or until I have made the donation). In exchange, I'd like to have door prize drawings for those that pay the $3 and get their "ticket" to the hafla. Which brings me to my question...

Are there any vendors out there who might be willing to donate door prizes? I am not a nonprofit, so I can't give you a receipt for tax deduction. ,f:: I'm trying to figure out how to do this.

Your local vendors should have no problem giving up a few donations in exchange for vending space or advertisement in your program. At least that is how we do around these parts.

We have no local vendors-the one we had quit vending last spring.
