Thread: Wings???

I wrinkled my wings, any suggestion on how to unwrinkle them and how do you store them to prevent future wrinkles?

My wings are the heavy ones (I don't remember the name of the material) - I hang them from a pant-hanger, just below the collar so the seams don't tear. Two days or so of hanging seems to do the trick. I haven't found a way to store them so they don't wrinkle, but i try to fold them back into the accordion shape and not stack stuff on them. I still hang them a couple days before I use them.

Thank you! But, do you use the bag just for transportation purposes only and leave the wings hang when they are not in use?

I've seen some people transport wings in a 3 inch PVC tube. Dunno how good/bad that is, but it makes sense...

I have transported my wings in a bag made for skis.

I find the problem with most wings is they are not made out of a natural fiber, which is good for keeping the pleats in, but bad if they get wrinkled.

I take the sticks out and store them hanging.

For transport, I try to fold them in the accordion shape so they are one long piece (I hope I'm explaining this right) and then fold them in half and keep them in a separate bag. I hang them as soon as I get to the venue. They wrinkle a tad, but they are so shiny and heavy that it isn't noticeable.

I always store my wings hanging and transport them in the bag they came in..
