Thread: Arabic version of "the manamana song"

I swear I heard this in class once, but I've never found the CD, and no one else in class remembers hearing it.

I *swear* it sounded like an instrumental version of the "manamana song", you know, from the Muppets. The whole album was, I think, normal instrumental bellydance music, like the kind you would hear on any compilation for dancers. Nice orchestral-type pieces, not pop music.

Was I imagining things, or does this song really exist, and if so, where can I find it?

My teacher just bought the CD with the Arabic mah na mah na song on it. I'll try to get the name of the CD and post it.

It's not translated - in fact, as I remember it, this version is instrumental. Just performed in the style of Arabic orchestral music.

I laughed when I heard this on the album...I too love this song from the muppets, lol.

I listened to it, and I'm not 100% sure this is the one I was thinking of, since I remember it being totally instrumental...

That said, I love it! It's an adorable version! I love that as well as being kind of a novelty, it has enough actual rhythm in it to be danceable.
