Anyone have suggestions for a good version of this song? I have a couple, but I love it and would like to find more versions!!

It's a favorite among Egyptians too. It is the only soundtrack for the entire movie made of Nagib Magouz' "Cairo Trilogy"-sorry forgot what the actual name of the movie is. But, the song is in the background at different times for the 2and 1/2 hour movie.

Probably not quite what you're looking for, but I have a remixed version by Beirut Biloma. The album is called Basics.
This thread got me on a hunt for a more traditional version that I heard on cassette years ago. I found this streaming version online. The singer is Fairouz, but I can't find the album. Any Bhuz sleuths have any idea?

There is a pretty version on Fairouziyat. It has no vocals and the instrumentation is very nice, but it has a much more laid back energy than I typically like to have for performance music.
