Thread: Mesh Ay Haga by Saad: OK to dance to?

Are the lyrics all harmlessly playful, or does he say things one would rather not dance to?

I don't think it is deragatory and if they aren't arabic, they won't know what he is talking about.
I just couldn't put any feeling into it with the lyrics being what they are which is why Im didn't use it.

I think it's basically a lesson song....like don't take things for what they seem. I can't find the written lyrics anywhere or I would try to translate the words I know. That song is really hard to find anything on.

From what I understand the lyrics are a bit "risky" because there are kind of some double meanings to them. But it must be okay to dance to because I have seen Diana Tarkhan of Cairo do the cutest melaya dance to this song (twice). If I remember correctly there is something in the song about a banana and eating it.....and you see the double meaning there. I don't understand enough Arabic to understand the song but it was okay to be put on his CD; and I have seen dancers use it!

It's a cute tune (without knowing the Arabic)! ;)
