HELP! Need a short intro song...

I am dancing this weekend to Salamit Ya Om Hassan, it starts out right away, and I need some sort of entrance piece, doesn't have to be more than 30 seconds, need to find it on itunes if possible. I don't want it to be a recognizable song, because I don't want people to think I am dancing to a popular song and then all of a sudden is changes to this one. I have Audacity so I can cut something up.... any suggestions? The song is on the mp3 uploads here on bhuz. Thanks!

someone on another thread had the idea to use a finale piece as an intro and i thought it was a good one.

I keep gravitating back to the Feret El Negoum (Yasmina/Leila/Outi's band) CD's for entrance pieces (as well as everything else, it seems!). Leila's two are my favourites, because she seems to favour a lovely heavy, rich production value. They're definitely worthwhile investments, fantastic CD's.

I sometimes actually use a finale piece as an entrance. It essentially does the same job - it's got the malfuf rhythm going, it's got a statement ending, etc etc. But they're super-short, so if I'm doing a micro-set of if I'm just in the modd for a short entrance to enable me to follow with something more juicy, then I do that. But typically, not too often.

Thanks for the link to the thread. Unfortunately, my song doesn't really have a finale, either, it's short at 3:12. But I will go check out Leila's cd which I just got, maybe I can use something off it.

Adam Basma Dance with Adam Basma vol. 2 has a finale that is 21 seconds. It sounds more like a finale than an opening to me but you might want to check it out.

I love the opening to Gawaher on Midnight Magic by Dr. Sami Farag if you want to use Audacity to edit it.
