Thread: Song to announce the birth of a child?

Hi there,

I've been hired to do birthday party and the father requested the following:

"My son and his wife are now expecting their first child in Jan 09. Will appreciate if you can include some song/dance/act to very briefly mark this"

I have no idea what to do... any recommendations? They are indian, if that helps...

Wow. Maybe 30 seconds of Brahms Lullaby where you get the wife up to dance with you? Arranging the timing so you get her up to dance THEN the music starts?

(I once put under a minute of 'diamonds are a girl's best friend' into a set where I was dancing for a jeweler's 80th birthday, was very unexpected and drew much laughter)

mmm, that's actually a good idea... I'm researching indian lullabys and I found some mp3 on amazon... though it would be nice to know what the lyrics are saying... thanks for you suggestion

oh and I loved what you did with the diamonds are a girls best friend song -I bet they loved it!
