Thread: Ana Saiidi - lyrics

Hi

Does anyone have a translation for this song? (it's also called 'Keyf' on one of the Mezdeke Cds)

Obviously I know the gist of it (I'm a Saiidi man, etc), but I'd like a more detailed breakdown if possible!

Even the lyrics written out in arabic would help . . .as my reading armed with a dictionary is a lot better than my listening!

I've only translated part of the lyrics, and I had to do that out of self-defense! My students inisisted that one line was "You're shagging me badly!" This got so out of hand that in subsequent classes I imposed a fine for anyone who sang that... and one Bhuzzer had to pay up...l;,

I might have time tomorrow to write down the part I know, and where it occurs in the song, but if someone wants to jump in and translate the whole thing, that would be fine with me! ..l;,

Hadia knows and I have asked her for them before but she forgot! Maybe I could ping her again! ;-)

Anyone else know?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have loved this song since seeing Aziza dance to it back in February. I found a clip of Bhuzzer Lucy dancing to it, but it sounds like a different version.

Any recs on where to get versions of this song? CD, iTunes, eMusic, etc?

Lucy's dancing to the version on Beata and Horacio's CD. Would love to know if it's available on emusic or rhapsody!

It's 'Keyf' on Mezdeka 5 as a more pop-y GP friendly version (not too pop though)

Or Ana Saiidi on Oriental Fantasy 11 (enchanted gardens) - I don't think they are on any download sites (but all the oriental fantasy CDs are great). This version has a great heavy beat

It makes a brief cameo in the 'Saiidi Cocktail' on Leila Sukara as well.

It's a great song!
