I was going through my favorites on my youtube page and forgot I had these beauties. I thought I'd share them with you all. I've searched for Ismail (Ishmail Shaker) the rababa artist and I can't find anything. Do any of you know this artist?

These are SUPERB videos. I'd love to see them in concert. I'm not sure about the first song but the last two are Um K. songs.

According to the Arabic, that's Shakir Isma'il playing the rebab. Thanks for these -- I LOVE rebab music.

Michelle, search for "Shakir Ismail" not Ismail Shaker. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks Jasni, it never occured to me that his first name could be Shakir.

OK, so he has made a name for himself. He played the rabab for Hakim on his CD Talakik. I would like to find if he has his OWN CD out. I guess he plays on that CD 60's BellyDance, which sounds very good except for Fakarouni. The other samples sound great.
