Thread: Music for Baba Karam?

Does anyone have any suggestions for baba karam music? I've been using the same song over and over and it's time for a change! I use the song (I think it's called) "Baba Karam" - Ava Fleming danced to it on the Vol 3 Belly Dance O Rama series - any other Baba favs to dance to?

if you want something more modern with a baba karam feel try "bikhial" by afshin. Otherwise, there are many versions of the baba karam song, although they are very difficult to find - this genre of music is called " jahelli" which means " the ignorants" and refers to "tough guys" and their music - so if you do find another song make sure the lyrics are ok to use - some arent.

Thanks for the info. Any titles of songs and artists you can suggest in the hard to find genre of jahelli? Or websites where I can get them? I'm not really digging the Afshin group, but thanks for posting it.

I can find them on youtube, but not on cd (beleive me i have been looking) here are some examples, and its hard to tell who the artist is because ussually these old movies have voiceovers:
