I need new music please help!

I have over 400 songs on my iPod and I am tired of every one of them. I obviously can't list them here, but suffice it to say I've got BDSS covered, all the current pop folks, and most of the bellydance standards.

That said...any fairly new albums, remakes, etc... anyone has to recommend? I'd really like more classical numbers, if there are some pretty remakes or something.

    Sign up for Emusic.

Several users have compiled good lists of recommended tunes, e.g. Sedonia has a pretty extensive list that is fun to browse.

Yeah, I used to have a subscription...but haven't re-signed up. Guess I should, it's more than worth it, since I still download a ton of itunes stuff and it's way cheaper on emusic. *sigh*

Check the eMusic info I have on my downloads guide site: Emusic.com Favorites

You really can get 25 tracks for free. You have to do all of the sign up stuff, but you can cancel within two weeks (before paying for a subscription kicks in) if you don't want to continue.

I have over 300 dance-related albums on my eMusic list: eMusic Lists - MP3 music downloads at eMusic You can sort the list by recently added or alpha. by artist.

And you have more flexibility - no download rights management on eMusic.

I haven't danced to them yet, but I really like both of these:
Memories of Cairo - Oriental Dance Vol. 1
Del Nilo Al Guadalquivir - Oriental Dance Vol. 2

Recent additions from Hollywood Music Center (cross-check with what you already have because they double-up on albums, though there might be a shorter/longer version that you could use):
The Masters of Bellydance Music Vol. 2
10 Songs Every Bellydancer Should Know
    Casbah Bellydance
    The Exotic Art of Bellydance

Leyla Lanty's album: Golden Days Enchanting Nights

Also, amazon.com has a lot of downloads and doesn't require a monthly commitment. I've found most of what either emusic or itunes has on amazon; it's downloaded in mp3 format too so it's better than itunes. And the downloader will automatically put the music in your itunes library so you don't have to remember to import it!
