choosing classic music to honor my teacher

There's an event coming up at which several of my teacher's advanced students will be dancing to entertain at a party she is having. I'd really like to pick a piece of music my teacher would love -- she adores the old classics... Farid el Attrache, Mohammed Abdul Wahab, et cetera. But I'd like to pick something a little less used (not Aziza or Zeina!) and I'd like to pick something with a medium to fast tempo (so not a slow sweepy Zay el Hawa). But I don't want a techno remix either, she dislikes those.

So... have you picked up a CD recently that has a lovely, four or five minute version of an old classic that you've really enjoyed? I'd appreciate the help!

You can scan through the "songs" pages on BellydanceDownloads.com. For many classic songs I've listed the album, artist, and time for each version that's available for download plus some that are only on CD. I do need to update these pages so they certainly don't include everything out there, but at least you can listen to sound samples on Amazon, eMusic, or iTunes to hear tempo and style.
