Thread: looking for song 'shahdin'?

Hi all,

I am looking for the original version of the song 'Shahdin' (thanks Zamira!) that can be found on BDSS volume V. The version on the BDSS CD is super fast, would love to find the original song somewhere. Anyone know on what album it can be found?

I don't see a song called Maria on BDSS #5. I see a song called Shahdin by Maria. Is that the one you're looking for?

Here I was thinking it might be "Maria me ta Katrina" - I don't have BDSS #5, but we've always called that song just "Maria".

khalida if ur friends with nathalie on facebook, you could message her and ask her where she got this version from. she's pretty quick with responding

That's the cd "Maria". The song listings are the same.

Ahh, that's the fast version that is also on the BDSS CD. Still no luck on the slow version.. sent Nathalie a message via FB just in case, but did not get a reply yet.

Although not slow, there's also a nice version on Katia from Cairo's cd..

I have a feeling this music piece is from one of those Arabian-Sky cd's or something from Argentina.

Yup i got it but it is faster than the version you posted but if you have good software you can slow it down. I will post a clip to the media page. I believe that HMC has re-released this on CD, I will check...g.:..g.:

Yes, you can slow it down using Audacity, but because there are some slow parts within the piece, you will have to select sections of it - I think.

Evidently this song is called Khaliko shahdin and has MANY spellings.

It's suppose to be a sad song:
