Does anybody know the version of El Toba that I am looking for?

    Hello everyone!

Does anybody on Bhuz happen to know the version and the singer of the song El Toba, that Randa Kamel is using in her Choreography DVD "Masters Of Egyptian Choreography Instructional Volume 1?"

    I have been going crazy trying to find it! Any help would be appreciated! ,r:;
    Thank you.

I wish I could help but I have not seen this video. Sorry!! Is it this video you are referring to?[ame="http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m0IluMmVfg0"]YouTube - Masters of Egyptian Choreography Instructional DVD's[/ame]

This singer about the 2:14 mark, I think is Safaa Farid.

Thought I'd answer to get your thread back to the top.

If you look on NS Enterprises ::Belly Dance Instructional DVDS and Interviews with the Stars::, there's a matching CD with all the music from the choreography DVD's, including the version of "El Toba" you're looking for.

    All the best,

    Nikki

Yep nikkiraqs is correct thats where you'll find it because I have that. I have 3 other versions as well. One on Al amera Outi's CD great version with vocals, techno version on one of Said Moraid CDs and the one I use over and over one on Adam Basma's Hobi CD. I love the Adam Basma one because for once his CD cheesy orchestration actually suits the mood of the song.

    Hi!

I have the DVD and the CD that comes along with it.

For the credits, it's written: El Toba: music used in choreogrpahy "El Toba" originaly composed by Abdel Halim Hafez. This version arranged by Mohamed Ali at Nay Sound Music Studio in Cairo, Egypt. This version of "El Toba" was especially arranged for this instructional dvd, commissioned by Natasah Senkovich. Tabla accentby Karam Fuad".

Michelle, the singer of Randa's band is not Safaa Farid but I don't know his name though...

    Thank you everyone for replying!

Yes, that is the video that I have.
Also, I will definitely buy the matching C.D., this helps a bunch!
( Wouldn't it have made more sense though for the C.D. to always come with the DVD if the song was made especially for the DVD's choreo? Oh well! )
Anyways, this was a lifesaver! :D

The CD has the songs for all 3 of the Masters of Egyptian Choreography DVDs.

A little off-topic, but these are all great DVDs by the way.

Good to know, and they are great DVDs--I have never been tempted to perform a choreography that I've learned on a DVD, but I love Diana Tarkhan's Golden Age choreography so much, I could see myself performing it some day.
