Thread: 7th (?) Section of Inta Omri???

Hello!

Are the lyrics on Shira's site (Arabic Music: English Translation of Lyrics for Enta Omri by Oum Kalthoum) for the whole 40 minute song or just a certain section of the song, because they don't seem to match up to the lyrics in the section I have.
Does anyone know what this section (the youtube link/from OF Vol.2) is about?

The bit most commonly heard is the bit with "you are my life" in it - that's if your "most commonly heard" bit and mine are the same. If you hear the words "enta omri" in the vocal, that's your "you are my life" right there.

The short answer is, find a tame Egyptian person who will help you out.

The clip you posted is from the 3rd main section of the song. In Shira's translation, these lyrics begin with the line "Bring your eyes close..." and end with the "You are my life that starts its dawn with your light" (this last verse is cut off in the middle, in this clip) (BTW, each section of the song is "bookmarked" with the "Enta Omri" verse).
