Thread: Asena Asena Asena--music quality?

Does anyone have the CD Asena with Asena on the cover? I used the song Asena (track 6) for a gig the other night and noticed the sound quality was bad--hissing in the background, very poor quality when amplified. Other songs from this CD sound fine, but this track seems off. Has anyone else noticed?

I don't have the original CD, so I don't know if it's just my version or not. I was thinking about buying the CD because I want to use this song for an upcoming gig, but if the quality if poor then I won't bother.

Does anyone out there have this CD that can check for me???? It's track 6. Thanks!!!

On the cd the hiss is audible.

Maybe you've tried this already, but it might be worth a shot using Audacity or another audio editing program to see if you can remove any of the hiss. I know Audacity has a noise-removal feature, but I don't know how effective it is.

Just wanted to post that someone else suggested Audacity. I tried it this morning and it worked like a charm. Super easy, too! Thanks!!
