    Edalla ala kayfak- Arabic lyrics

Does anyone know the Arabic lyrics for "Edalla ala keyfak"? I have the English transliteration from the CD liner (Heya di Yasmina CD) but I would also like to know the Arabic words, but of course written out in Roman letters, since I don't read Arabic.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

    Edallah Ala Kayfak

    Adulla3 3alal Keefik, adulla2 ya wala
Flirt/be coyall you want. Flirt, go ahead
    Wa rouh wa iba3atli teefik
    Go send me your spirit
    Wa ana a’oulu al-masa’la
And I’ll tell her what I want,
Yaw ala, ya wala, al-nabi yaw ala.
Yes I will, yes I will, by the Prophet yes I will

    An-nar fi’albi walla3
The fire in my heart burns
    Wa masha3alha al hawwa.
And it is fanned by love/breeze (play on words).
    Wa sa’alt an-nas ‘alouli
And I asked people who told me
    As-sabr ahsan dawa.
    Patience is the best remedy/treatment.
    Wad a kullu yigra minik.
And this all is caused by you.
    Mata’ouli al-masa’la
    Tell me what you want
Yaw ala, yaw ala, al-nabi yaw ala.
Go ahead, go ahead, by the Proplet go ahead.
    Adulla3 3ala keefik, adulla3 ya wala.
Flirt/be coy all you want. Firt, go ahead.

    I'm happy to help :-)

If I remember correctly my source, it was on Yasmin's CD Dancing with Genies but I'm not sure and I don't have the booklet around.

It is on Dancing with Genies, spelled Adullah ala Keefik. Great song--it screams meleya to me.

It IS a fantastic song and a lovely version is on Dancing with Genies, which makes sense as it is a "family song" for the Henkish family. The orchestra director for Dancing with Genies is Sayyed Henkish (he is brother to Khamish Henkish). Sayyed's wife, Azza Henkish's father wrote it for her when she was young. ..g.:

Oh, nice to hear the history of a favorite song! I use it often. (Other versions...so far! I like the Dancing with Genies one quite a bit and will have to use it soon.)
