Thread: Need music recommendations for wings

I've been trying to find some songs that would be good for dancing with wings but I only have the ones from Bellydance Superstars...I was watching LBC and the song the contestants use are just using Arabic pop...I was looking for something more suited to the wings. Any favourites?

Hmmm... When I think wings, I think "operatic", like a music that has some swell to it. Here are a few ideas that you're welcome to play with:

-Hijo de la Luna (Mecano)
-Egypte (Cirque du Soleil)
-Ancient Ruins (Issam Houshan)
-Misirlou (the Xavier Cugat version)
-Ghib An Anynayya (don't remember the artist's name offhand, but it's on the Galactic Bellydance CD)
-Voice from the Moon (same CD as above)

Sa'diyya from DFW has used Horror Night from Tony Anka's Techno Tabla CD. It's much faster than most wings music, but it made for a very exciting peformance.

Yes, you got the right one (she is so amazing).

Try listening to some Mario Kirlis music! I use several of his pieces for wings!

what about "surviver's tale"?...i forgot the artist(s) sorry, but i used it for an isis choreo for a school performance and they LOVED it!

It was exciting! After seeing it, I can't imagine a better fitting choreography.
