Sounds like 'El Fen' to me, but a bit different version than the one I know.

Thanks guys! I agree it should be El Fen but I can't find it on itunes or anywhere for that matter. I even tried "el fan" but still can't find it. And no one on youtube seems to know it either. I will send Maria a message.

It is definitely El Fen by Mohamed Abdel Wahab, but I don't know the verison/artist. The only version I have been able to find is on Wash Ya Wash vol. 3 which is on emusic and itunes.

This is the same track that Marina Anushchenko dances to. I've asked on the video comments, emailed an Arabic music expert site, played it in Arabic music rooms on PalTalk asking for an ID and asked an Egyptian friend of mine online, all to no avail. When I asked the owner of Arabiansky.narod.ru, who has it as a download, she said she didn't know. It's simply listed as Track 19 there.

Sounds like there are two women singing with the man because one seems to have a higher voice than the other, but who they are is a mystery. It might as well have popped in from another dimension.

Amazing isn't it?...that this song remains a mystery. I will update this thread if I find out.

Oh, no I didn't post it before. As far as I know there's no prohibition, it's just that you can download the files from arabian sky free, so that's an infringement on copyright. Of course, you can simply listen to them there, then buy them elsewhere. (You can buy them from AS, too, not sure of the legitimacy).

Yes. I've asked quite a few arabs, especially egyptians. Every time I meet a new Egyptian online, I will play it for him if I think he open to listening to music (many muslims feel music is prohibited). To this day no one can identify the performers! One said they were amatuers. LOL! They sound pretty good to me, just haven't achieved enough fame for anyone to identify them by their voices alone. Maybe the singers are from a different country, such as Lebanon. I've given up. At least we can listen to it.
