    Drum-only, basic Romani-9 recording?

Even though I have a significant collection of Romani and Turkish music, I do not have a single recording of the basic Romani-9 rhythm (D T D tt), with just a drum. No frills, just a medium tempo Romani-9, ideally with a bit of a speed-up - I want to drill more complex, filled zill patterns, and I need a bit of drum-only scaffolding. I have a few rhythm instruction/rhythm examples recordings (Solace and Gypsy Caravan), but they are the Greek/American Karsilama (D T D tkk), and that is better than nothing, but I an looking for something that has the silent 9.

Does anybody whether what I am looking for exists? Or, do I have to hire a drummer to make a recording for me? I may have to bribe and threaten my friends - "If you don't record that, I will practice in front of your house." is a very persuasive argument ;-)

as long as you dont mind it being short and some talking at the beginning, uncle mufaso (sp) has something like this on his cd.

Oh, oh, oh, I know this one!!!

The Black Drum, CD Rakshasa, track "Karsilama, Lod 9, Turkish 9"

I think I got mine on itunes, but it might be on e-music as well? LOVE this track for drilling & practice. It does have various fills and such, but it's drums only and the tempo is just right for drilling, IMO

    Oh, thanks for these leads!

I actually know the Black Drum drummer, Nevik! He's a fellow Pennsic veteran, I love when he's drumming, and have spent many, many happy nights dancing around the fires to his drum. I will need to check out his recording!
