She is Moroccan, but a lot of her records (most of her recent hits) are not ethnically Moroccan songs. They're more of what I'd call Pan-Arab style.

I recently was introduced to a song called "Celica" by my instructor. She explained that it was the Arabic and French language mixed together. It's very modern and it's about women being okay being alone because they can do whatever they want <LOL>

Bent Bladi is a very popular song.
I don't know whose song it is but it gets played in by everyone.
