In this youtube video with Mona al Saeed.... I know it but can't place it...

ARGH, so annoying, I know that song and know it is on my computer but I can't think what it is !!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH these things drive me mental

is it the song called Hassan or am I mixing it up with another one?

Hassan Ya Ghoulli - (there are other spellings too) - it is a common reference in a lot of Balady Taksims.

I've always called it Ya Hassan but it's all the same song. Standard Egyptian baladi taqsim music. The original song was performed by Tahia Carioca...I forgot which movie it was though...

Yes thats it too bad miss Mona is not dancing to that song in this video. They did that nasty overlay thing that I HATE SO MUCH!,f::

Its called Ya hassan. You can find a more upbeat version of it on Jahlilahs raqs sharqi 5. Its on the first track entitled "Tahia's dance"

Yeah i hate when they do that too. its like why put music up that the dancer is not dancing to? Whats the point? It just makes it seem like the dancer cant dance.
