There is one in the BDSS' Belly Bar set. I think it's something like "shake that belly" or something to that effect.

I didn't know that was Celtic fused. It sounds so Arabic. But I love it. I don't know if these are Celtice fushion but some of those songs with heavy bagpipes I think would be good to use. I would be interested in seeing how these two types of dancing would be fused together.

Oy, mine too. ..c:: Not that I have a problem with other dancers using it - it's just so not my cup of tea, I couldn't imagine having to dance to it for weeks and weeks!

Yeah, that's it -- I can sit through a performance of it, but weeks of multiple runthroughs are going to burn out my brain!

It's Oojami, and yes, it uses a lot of irish fiddle, it's like ragga-belly-riverdance :P

There is a track on Desert Roses 2 that is a bit celtic, I will look it out. ETA Cheb Mami, Baiida uses what sounds remarkably like celtic harp to me.

Desert Wind's "Celebration of World Dance" has an instrumental chiftitelli called "Celti-telli". I hear harp and pipes but it's subtle. Sounds watery, fluid, rather than Riverdance-y. I thought of doing a veil dance with it.

Kahol is the band, Celtic Camel the album. They are Israeili musicians using traditional Mid-East instruments and style to play Celtic classics. I LOVE this album.

Look for traditional Irish songs with a 'slip-jig' rhythm; it's 9/8. "The Butterfly" is probably the best known.

A number of Irish musicians get into world music; Shane MacGowan does a number of songs with a lot of Turkish sounds. I peform in pirate garb to "Turkish Song of the Damned". Sinead O'Connor has a number of Turkish pieces as well.

    Re: celtic fusion?

I'd be interested to see how the two are fused as well. My teacher once tried to tell me i could fuse Highland dance to BD. I just couldn't convince her that no...I couldn't.

I really don't understand how one would put together a dance style that is fluid, flowing and sensual with one that is percussive, precise, and even militaristic (at least in the case of Highland dance). I was trying to explain it to someone once and demonstrated: maya, snake arms....then jump up and down!... then shimmy, undulation.... jump up and down!!! Um....
