Okay ladies,
Does anyone know the name/artist/cd? Iv'e been looking for this song for ages!! OMG!! and she's just a mesmorizing dancer.http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnjowC2jphw

In the comments some people asked about the song and Roshana replied, "Alf Layla Wa Layla". If it is, I'm not familiar with that section.

It may be called that on whatever CD she got it from, but it's not. The theme is from the ballet Scheherezade. Here's a clip; the theme in question starts at about 2:20

Horacio and Beata have a version of this on their Oriental Fantasy Vol. II CD. They call it "Scheherezade and the Golden Slave" - I love this version, though, so I'd like to have it.

This theme has been used in belly dance pieces for some time; here's a clip of the Egyptian dancer Hanan dancing to it.

I think maybe the title was too tempting to use it for one composition only...I don't think it has anything to do with the Oum Kh. song at all, maybe Rimski Korssakov called it "1001 nights" himself.
You can find it on Yousry Sharif's Wash ya Wash 7.
