Thread: ISO (very) short drum solo!

and i'm talking VERY short :D it's to stick in the middle of a musical cut, and so as to not exceed the time limit and with the cutting up of the music, it can't be longer than 49 seconds ^^ i rather like the one at the end of Return of the Stars (BDSS) but as short as it is, even that is too long (really like the beats used in it though).
the song "around" the drum solo would be Tales of the Sahara, so i need something that would work with that.

Any suggestions? :)

Wow, that is short! I think Eddie Kochak may have something on his Strictly Bellydance CDs or even Jillina has a CD (I think it's Ya Salen or Ya Jillina, not sure).

do you have the orginal tales of the sahara, from jalilahs rajs sharqi, in a beiroot mood. that cd or song might have pieces you can use...

I think there are a couple of really short drum pieces on one of Raquy Danziger's albums, but I was looking for them recently and couldn't find them on the CDs I have -- I must have seen this on iTunes (or dreamed it!). If I find it when I get a chance to look later, I'll post.

No luck -- the shortest one turns out to be 1:16. But you're interested in checking it out anyway, "Very Short Belly Dance Drum Solo" is on the album "Naked -- 12 Middle Eastern Drum Solos" by Raquy and the Cavemen. There's also a "Short Belly Dance Drum Solo" at 2:16.

No drum solo worth it's salt is that short. You'd have to edit something. Some of the real longer drum solos of some nice short sections that are complete within themselves.

There's a short one (about 1:08) on the Bellydance for Fortune and Fame CD, it's the one that Jenna does the beginner choreo on Heartbeat. Maybe it can be cut shorter? I just got a new CD yesterday, Neena and Veena Bellydance Oasis, and the first track is an egyptian routine that has a drum solo in the middle of it, you could cut that out maybe.

teehee :) i ended up scratching the mini-drum-solo idea completely. sounded too random in the middle of the song.
some really interesting suggestions in this thread though, i'll keep them in mind if ever need again, thank you girls! :)
