Thread: "Hailoh" by Gawaher

I'm looking for the lyrics to this song, either in English or Arabic (preferably in English).

I'm itching to use this song for my Melaya Leff but I want to make sure what she's singing.

Sorry, I looked but didn't find much. I did come across a few sites that wanted to list her as Sudanese/Nubian, so you might want to do a little more research before you jump into a Melaya Leff routine with her music. She may be a bit like Mohammed Mounir--he's "Egyptian" when they like him and "Nubian and disavowed" when they don't. (OTOH, Mounir is kind of a loose canon, so the comparison may be irrelevant.)

I couldn't find the lyrics. If you've got a lot of patience plus time to kill, you could try sifting through a search on the Arabic string " جواهر كلمات حايلوه " with the help of an electronic translator program. My Arabic is shaky, and I didn't see anything jump out when I looked, but if the lyrics are online somewhere, this will probably be the way to snag them.
