Thread: Is this by George Wassouf?

I'm looking for this song. Can someone help me? The song is called Al Eih Beyes'alouni, originally sung by Warda. Nancy Ajram also sings this song, but I'm looking for this particular song with this male singer.

That YouTube clip obviously isn't the version you want, but he does have the song in his repertoire. Sorry, but I wasn't able to locate a name of an album where he would have recorded it. Most of the hits on this song point me to an album called "Belly Dance with Warda & Abdel Halim Hafiz," with quite a few of them leading to file sharing sites in Russia. I have no idea if that record has vocals--it could be an unknown singer imitating George. If it is Wassouf, then it's an older recording. His voice hasn't sounded that clean in a long time.

Dang! I know I have this somewhere in my collection!

I checked again, and I can't find it on three different discographies (Nogomi, Music of Lebanon, and the 20 albums listed here George Wassouf's Discography | Facebook). It sure sounds like him, but it's a mystery where that recording came from...

Wael Jassar! That's it! I was trying to find his CD last night. It must be in my car. I still have about a couple dozen CD's to download to my computer. I also like his version of Badi Shoufak Kol Youm.

D'oh! I even saw his name when I was looking yesterday, but didn't bother to follow up on it because I was looking for George. It's on the album "Sahra Maa al-Tarab, Vol. 2." Mystery solved! (Watch for the mini subtitles in the little boxes on the video...)

Wael and George el Rassi imitated Wassouf style a lot...easily confused.
