Hmmm -- I can find out, but it may take a while. They are family on my BGF's husband's side, and I usually only see them during the holidays in December....I will try! I would love to have the translation myself. WILL MAKE BIG NOTE TO MYSELF AND STICK IT TO MY FOREHEAD....(life currently all on post-its, many post-its, many, many post-its....)..l;,

I can't help with Seni Sevdi, but I asked John B. for a translation of Sallasanna last year... he wouldn't translate it for me.
However, he did tell me that it was about 2 lovers that have to meet secretly. At the end of the song you'll hear "wave your handkerchief". The "waving" is the woman's signal that she can meet her lover.
Hope that helps some. I, too, would love to have the actual translation.
