Thread: Help me find...Baeed Anak

I'm looking for some versions of Oum Katlhoum's Ba'ed/Baeed Anak.
I have a lovely version on from Ashraf Zakaria but would like to find something a little shorter--closer to 5-6minutes long instead 8+...Any other good versions out there?

there's one on one of the beata and horacio cds i think?

i've used the version you have and cut it off somewhere halfway, i dont remember where but there's like one very good cutoff point somehwere midway

Any version you find might have to be cut, but the one on Beata and Horacio's 12 - Talisman is quite pretty. It's 7:50- It has both a vocal and an instrumental version.

I know! That's the kicker with the classic songs, they're so much longer & beautiful to use if dancing solo. I want to create something for one of my classes and the versions I'm finding are just too long for my purposes.

If you're going to use the one from Oriental Fantasy Vol 12, I think it would be okay to start it at 2:36, for a shorter version.

There is a 7-minute one on Mahmoud Fadl's Umm kalthoum 7000. It is a nice version and has vocals in it. Oh, and it is available on emusic. Couldn't find anything shorter though...

There is Baid Anak on the Best of Samir Srour but it is 9:38!

This one is very easy to cut, I was able to make a 3 and 5 min versions.
