Thread: Love Leila's new CD!

Om Al Dunya. Wonderful. My kinda music. Right now I am listening to track 9, a shaabi cocktail of Ahmed Adaweya singing Bint el Sultan (with the mawaal) and Bitgannin Kidahho(one of the banned in Egypt songs from Exotic Baladi CD).

Anyone else have this one?

The sound of it is great, and it's good recording!

I love the mergencé but really got stuck with Bint el Sultan as my favourite! Also the Mali wana mali version is beautiful!

Ooooh I want to check it out. I recently got Sukara and love it!

It's awesome. I love the "Pussy Cat" song on there! She's got translations in the liner notes, too.

Yeah I have had this cd for a while now and I LOVE it! I love the version of "Mali Wanna Mali" and use it all the time!

I like it so much that I accidentally bought it twice! A lucky student got the extra one as a door prize at one of my class parties.

Where did you all buy your CD from? I know Little Egypt has it. Amazon seems to have a 1-2 month wait on it.

I love all Leila's CDs, of all the dancer made CDs hers are closest to what the bands in Cairo actually sound like. Awesome!

I ordered it from Amazon and it came earlier this week. The Sami Ali version of Bitgannin is on the Exotic Balady CD.

How in the world did I miss this CD? Just ordered it.
