    Daret al Ayem translation?

Sumaya, I know you posted one on Old Bhuz for the choreo project, but I don't seem to be able to search there.

A rough general, or partial translation would be so helpful

Me three! Couldn't find it, and I adore that song. Especially the version on Leila's CD. *swoons*

Hi, Here is a site w/the lyrics. Not the easiest format to read but hope it helps. Yes Leila's CD version is great!

    Be well,
    Gina

Oh, this is so timely! I am planning on doing an intro to Om K in my Level 2 class next week, and was going to specifically focus on Daret el Ayam (the Cairo Orchestra version). I had planned on looking for the lyrics this weekend, since I knew they were out there online. I second Lauren - can you be my hero too?

BTW, "Ya Bahia" has an awesome version of this song that I think I like even better than Cairo Orchestra's.

I'm having a terrible time matching up the transliteration with the lyrics to the section I want to dance to!

Is this from a different section of the song? Or am I just not reading the transliteration properly? (I do have trouble with that sometimes)

I can clearly hear the last four lines at the end -- the part that starts at "ma'adarshi" but not the rest.

    Help?
