Thread: Searching for versions of Baed Anak

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a version (preferably with vocals) that is under 5 min or can be edited to 5 min or under.

So far I have

*The original Om Koulthoum (of course!!)
*Oriental Fantasy version instrumental and vocal (which is awesome except I can't get it below 5:51)
* One by "Egyptiskt Kulturcentrum Kairo Bazar - Mohammed Ali" which is Ok . . except I don't like the singer that much a bit too - rushed?
*Zamalek musicians 5:55 - Meh
*The one from Um Koulthoum 7000 - more my cup of tea but similar problems to oriental fantasy version.

If possible I'd like to include the later part of the song that is the second half of the Oriental Fantasy version but doens't tend to appear in many other versions (The bit about imagining lovely songs and moments together etc)

But heads up on any other versions good!

LOL. I just posted the same thing a couple of weeks ago! I have a 7-ish minute version I love by Ashraf Zakaria that has a few places where you could cut the song.

i looked around for ye, as i lllove this song also, havent found any others. i like the one from Ashraf Zakaria best.

I'm surprised this didn't come up yet - I just uploaded a student choreography to a short excerpt from Samir Srour's Baid Anak (CD is called Vol. 4 I believe), which I love. It's like the ending recap of the song. No singing tho -
