Thread: MEZDEKE cds 1-11 ?

Hey,

I've heard about these Mezdeke CDs by Misir Danslari. There's like 10 of them. Are they any good? What are you opinions of them?

I've tried doing some research on the web about it but haven't really turned up anything useful.

So some questions:

1. Format of CDs, in routines, drum solos, random songs
2. Background of composer?
3. Doubt of CD series...any specific album you recommend?

Most are really *fast*pop songs not made with dance performances in mind,with artists like Hanan,Amr Diab,Hakim,Hassan Abou El Seoud or Hisham Abbas
The songs are renamed into jibberish so that finding other versions are hard..
(Others are bad covers of hits like "Didi"or "Aicha".)
I strongly suspects that all music on Mezdeke is pirate copied.


Do I mean that the songs are bad-no!
But mostly Mezdeke is very dated al jeel.

You´ll be better off with NOW!Arabia CD:s if you´re looking for contemporary pop.

I do like and use several of the tracks on the percussion album for teaching since they have consistent tempos throughout.
