Thread: aziza's "silly saidi" song

hey

anyone know what CD the "silly saidi" song aziza dances to is from??


i dont think i'll ever perform to it (it's an aziza song for me)... but want to use it for warm ups... ;-) ;-)

I don't know what it's called but Aziza danced to that song as part of her finale performance when she was in Vancouver in October 2005. It was very cute and very funny - especially when she stopped and actually did "bird wings" to one of the the quack quack parts.

Michelle from Vancouver did a lovely drum solo in that show too. I like watching her perform as she has lovely, natural movement and a very nice stage presence. Her troupe Ala Nar is pretty good too!

I don't on which CD you will find that song. I had it from a compilation from a teacher in a workshop.

i've seen aziza perform to it several times, it's just so funny... would love to get my hands on it

the song is also on one of the mezdeke cds, I can't remember which one exactly though, I think 7.

My dance company and I do a cane number to that song, it's so funny, I've tried to find that version without the animals, but have been haven't found it, the good part is my dancers know to undulate when they hear the meow, and do a sit lift when the pig squeals!!..l;,

Oh THIS silly song! I've had a copy of it for years but could never find the original CD either. I tried buying a Mezdeke CD that someone told me it was on (I think I asked on Bhuz a few years back), but it was not, so I gave up on that direction...

In case anyone's wondered what it's about, I did have a friend give me a loose translation, and apparently they are just singing about a farm, and about love. The love part and the farm part are not necessarily connected, it's just a cutesy song about love and about farm animals....LOL

I didn't see it on amazon number 7..any suggestions?

This is the one I bought at someone's suggestion - the silly saidi song isn't on there.

thats weird, because I have this cd with the song on it....maybe there was a mistake on the cd?

It's there. It's labelled "Seyyid Gamel".
