Thread: Favorite music for Valentine's Day? "I put a spell on you" is mine!

I was thinking about Natasha Atlas' "I put a spell on you"... any other suggestions?

I just discovered the song "I Love You" by Omar Faruk Tekbilek (Also on Hissan Issakut's Album Hayat 1 Hayat on Amazon.com) and although there are no lyrics to make it obvious what the song is about it does sound very romantic.

I always think "Habibi Ya Nour el Ain" is a nice love song. It's also good for dancing for the general public because it has a fun, bouncy melody.

For veil work, "Erev Shel Shoshanim" is nice. The melody line sounds quite romantic, and the words fit the mood as well.

I'm actually dancing to Enta Eih by Nancy Ajram for VDay. Hardly the most sweet and romantic of pieces, so I guess I might have to dedicate my solo to all the single women out there whose men done them wrong!

Both Rotana and the "Now That's What I Call...Arabia" series regularly put out collections of love songs, and since they're usually popular songs from top-name singers, the translations are almost always available at online lyrics forums.

I guess what I was thinking about was more modern songs with lyrics in english like the Natasha Atlas one... something an American audience could relate to... you know we take Valentine's day soooo seriously it's almost funny!

What about the remake of the "kiss kiss" song, came out a few years ago?

I have the Hissan Issakut version, it's Beautiful!

I'd stick the the Tarkan version. Um- holly's version its okay but didn't have the fun playful feel as the original. But hey to each their own..

I have a loose veil choreo to the song, Oblivion by the Faux Frenchmen, a local Cincinnati band. It's on their Oblivion album and is very romantic. Preview of the song is here:
