Thread: Showtime! Clips of your favorite belly dance songs sung Live in Concert

I've decided to post this on the music forum vs. the video forum because it is really about the music. Nothing compares to a good live version sung by a professional. Here are 3 of my all time favorite clips. Only rules are it can't be a recording, must be a live concert version or live on TV version, and must be a song that we all like to dance to. What are yours?

I was looking at Hussein al-Jasmi clips yesterday, and came across this version of his huge hit "Seta al-sobh," where he and Abdel Fatah are totally outflanking "Super Star" contestant Brigit Yaghi. (Hussein really looks gaunt there, doesn't he? I'm not sure the dramatic weight loss was ruining his voice like some fans contended, but I can see why they wanted him to put a few pounds back on.) No idea how many dancers use this song, but DaVid does.




Okay, I confess, I just wanted an excuse to link this clip of Abdel Fatah covering Mishaal al-Arouj's song "Ya taxi."

Wow! He did lose a lot of weight. I would never have guessed that to be the same singer.
