Thread: Why can't I play my DVD's on my computer? Also, how to upload to Bhuz ....

I was able to play almost all DVD's on my laptop until my computer guy cleaned up my computer a few months ago. Now I can't get any DVD to play. Does anyone know what could have happened? Have I lost some software?

Also, if you have a video that you want to post on Bhuz in a thread, how do you do it? Same as digital photos?

go to the start button and then to the list of programs and open windows media player. Once you are in that, see if you can play the DVD.

You may have just lost the default settings to automatically launch the software when a DVD is inserted.

Do you want to post videos / pictures in a thread, in the video page or in your profile?
I think you can post in threads, because you've done it so many times. But, yes, I remember you always post the link to Photobucket!
Ok, here it is for a thread: you go to Photobucket, pass the mouse over the picture you choose and copy the url on "Direct Link". Then click on the small yellow icon of Bhuz message (the one that looks like a mountain with the sun) and paste the link.
For your profile: go to "My page", then "submit items" and upload what you want. If you want to post a video, you must copy the Youtube url and paste it.
To change your profile picture (or add one, since you have none), go to "My page", then "Settings", then "Profile picture" and upload a photo that you browse from your pc.

Thanks, Ana! I've tried to post pics for my profile and Avatar, but no matter how small I size it, I get a message that the picture is too big! I'm able to post pics in threads--but I usually just post one picture to show what the item is like, then a link to closeups. The problem I have is when I try to post on my own page -- I did figure out how to post something from YouTube in a thread (yay!!! finally), but for some reason I can't get any DVD's to play on my computer now -- I get a message that says I need a "DVD decoder" for Windows Media? I used to be able to play them, so I don't know what happened. If I can figure out what's wrong, maybe I can post a video here or on YouTube--I'm trying!,r:;

Do you have a roll back feature on your computer software (in accessories on the start menu) to set the thing back to the date before he jacked around with it?

don't do that!! You would lose everything you put on after and probably get problems back. Can't you ring the guy and ask him what he willl do about it
