Thread: When did Bhuz start ****-ing out swear words?

Is it just me? Honestly, I find it really annoying -- I'm a big girl, and I can deal with swearing and reading other people's posts with "bad" language.

I don't particularly like it either. Quite apart from anything else, if you use a very mild term that, for argument's sake, refers to a female dog, in its verbal format it seems as if you were using something much stronger because of the ***.

If NME can print the f word after all these years, I think everyone can. But I guess some people are using Bhuz at work and it might cause problems.

First - what's NME? Second - in certain posts I've voluntarily written words like a*****e because I expected censure of some kind. If that's not the case great, if it's a problem, then f**k em if they can't take a joke.

NME is a very famous rock magazine, now on its last legs. Bizarrely, they were not allowed to print the word **** in the 90s so they got creative with variations like fark and fook.

I think I remember some dancer's work computers weren't letting them access Bhuz when certain words appeared on the site. It might not be about censorship so much as making Bhuz accessible to everyone all the time.

I don't like having to put in asterisks where letters should be, but some people can't access Bhuz on their computers at work if there are "naughty words". So we might as well be fair.

That's right. Bhuz is still a business and with websites accessibility is the name of the game. Why on earth would you cut off the huge market of people bunking off at work to stalk bhuz? Get creative people... it's more fun anyway.
