Thread: Spam from "lauren koneh"

I got spam to my yahoo email address, referencing Bhuz:

"Hello Dear, Good morning or whatever the weather may be over there,how is the weather in your country?,my name is Lauren I'm tall and nice looking girl i just decided to drop you some words just to say hello and how was today,i saw your profile at www.bhuz.com and i will like to known more about you, please i will be very happy if you can reply me so that we can go further to known each other,we can be good friends,write me direct to my mail box at (laurenkoneh2@yahoo.in ), Hope to hear from you.
yours Lauren."

I am wondering what email harvesting strategies are behind this - clearly, it is some bot-based message (a better, personalized spammer would try to tempt me with bling, not with a "woman" whose English is terrible).

Yeah some other of the sites that sell stuff made in china have been in our forums I noticed they should be banned. There was one comenting on one of the posts and then put her sales pitch and website in there!

I think I got an email like this a while ago, but it didn't reference Bhuz. It was weird.

I had one from this past Saturday from lauren koneh and it has happened with other names to other bhuzers so somehow it is related or we all just happen on hte same sites and get this stuff.
