Thread: How do you get your avitar picture to be the bigger square size?

I've noticed that some avitars are slightly bigger and square. How do you crop your pics to this size?

I see that the max size is 150X150 but when I went in to customize my own photo, I cropped it to that size, how come it still shows up as a rectangle?

Okay I'm being a pest. But I wanna know

Did you crop it before uploading and did you make sure and switch your avatar when you uploaded to the new one?

I cropped a pic to 100 x 100 pixels (the max allowed). I go into microsoft paint, (it's where I have to edit pics) then manually type in the size I want in the category "pixels" I enter 100 for vert and 100 for horiz. but the pic keeps on showing up as a rectangle.
