Thread: Plus-sized ladies: Whatcha got?

Reviving this very useful thread!

I'm about to list a beautiful peaches-and-cream-print Eshta original from Hechicera. It's gorgeous, sparkly, flattering, beautifully designed, and expertly made, but unfortunately it doesn't quite work with my coloring. It would be a very happy fit on someone with Hechicera's measurements (above) or could easily be adjusted smaller, particularly in the skirt. Height up to 5'6" with the pretty underskirt she had made for it, or shorter without.

I'll get details up later today, but in the meantime here are photos of it on the lovely Eshta. (Hope that's OK, Eshta -- if not, please let me know!)

A gorgeous dress. I'm reselling the one I bought from Lucie. It's a stunner but would need to be altered for me, and I'm not up for that right now. How tall are you?

Damn, damn, damn. I am short enough and the bra would fit but my hips would take it out. I am about and 18/small 20 at the moment. Totally hot and something I would wear too.

I've got some extra hip going on myself at the moment, a couple of inches more than when I measured it last, and I am pretty sure it still fits. I think it was originally described as fitting hips up to 50", actually. I'll take some pics and measurements on the weekend just for informational purposes.

This is not an obnoxious sales pitch, I promise! Just making sure to get accurate info out there. :)

ETA: Hey! The original listing said fits 4-10” – 5’2” tall perfectly, hips stretch 38” to 50”.

Oh crap, will have to measure my hips later to double check the inchage. What does the back look like? Is it a halter?

(Whoa! Those are some big photos, but I wanted to show the orchid, purple iris, gold, and little rhinestones in the beadwork.)

Length, measured on a hanger: 51" at center front, 55" at center back, 56.5" at the shoulder seam.
Other measurements, taken across the front with the dress laid out as flat and unstretched as possible:
15.5" shoulder seam to shoulder seam
20" at bust
17" at waist (this measurement is pretty consistent from just below the underbust seam to just above the hip beading)
20.5" at hip (across the midpoint of the beading)

Lots of stretch. I'm 5'5". I was a US 16-18 in the photos, bra 38DDD, hips about 48". I think it would accommodate up to a 20. I've also worn it as a 14, bust 38D, hips more like 45", and at that size I needed low heels. Excellent quality and condition -- this has never lost a bead or a strand of fringe. Weighs a ton, moves like a dream!
