I don't need a new costume, but I thought it might be nice to take a look at what's out there and to maybe swap amongst ourselves. Post what you have to sell or what you are on the fence about.

Oh Zana, I missed that green one! If I didn't already have a green costume coming from Eshta, I would be all over that!

And I forgot to mention that I could be really tempted by a dress or a Turkish costume (Bella, Legend, Sim). Or anything with a chiffon skirt.

OMG girls I have a purple holographic lavender one I want to sell. D/DD choli style. Vertical ruffles. So many giant crystals that someone should have slapped me at the checkout counter! I am asking $350 for it cause it is so awesome! I'll get better pics tomorrow.

Eshta, I'd love to see more photos and measurements for that lavender. It looks beauteous, and I love the sleeves!

I will post nice pics and measurements of the lavender in the swap tomorrow. I also have an awesome shamadan kinda costume. All red/gold pailettes on black mesh - 2 piece with flared gold sleeves. It has an awesome big dowry necklace hanging down as a belly drape. 47" hips and a D cup so it fill fit some serious curves. But best for shorties. I will post tomorrow. I am asking only $150 for the red/gold.
I really want to start dancing again. I've been really down after the debacle of being told I was too fat for my own showcase. So I am ready to get rid of tons of old costumes. Anyone who is a similar size and wants to do a trade please let me know because I'd like to get some new stuff. I'd love a dress.....or something animal print.

I really like that costume and I keep coming back to it, but I just still can't justify paying that much money for something that I am not absolutely in love with. I wish I were independently wealthy. Sigh...

Zana, I'm the same with reds. Thousands of them! (well, I think I have a grand total of four red cossies at the moment...)

I really would like to know more about that lavender -- it's beautiful. I don't think I have any dresses that will work for you right now, Eshta, but I'll look! If you're interested in anything I have up, please let me know. The green would fit you for sure apart from some shortening.

I have a gorgeous teal L. Rose beledi dress that I purchased from EzmaSiddaqah in the Fall, thinking that my curves would take up some of what she describes below as the extra length. I'm 5'6" with 38" rib cage and 44" lower hips and this dress fit perfectly with room to spare. Unfortunately, it's just too long, and I don't dance in heels. To shorten it for me would probably take away too much from the beautiful godet inserts. Pending photos from Ezma or from my crazy camera, I was going to post it on the Swap Meet for $75 plus shipping/insurance. This will be fantastic on a taller dancer!

Here is Ezma's original description:
This is another dress from L. Rose and I ordered it too long, so am selling this and have reordered another one which is shorter. This style is the flared beledi with right-side slit and deluxe, long sleeve, medium underbust, cold armpit, stretch luxury velvet, color is teal…beautiful!

I am a size 12 and it fits well, skims the body. Could easily go larger. I performed in this once, and it was hand blind stitched by me under the belt so it was 3" shorter for the show. The stitches have been removed.

The first picture is closer to true color. This is not turquoise but teal.

Here are the measurements I gave L. Rose:
full bust 40"
natural waist 33"
low hips 41"
length from armpit to hem 50"
sleeve length 24"

Here are the measurements laying the dress flat:
slit up from hem 27"
from top of shoulder to bottom of hem 60"
upper arm circumference unstretched 12"
sleeve 24" long
low hip 41" unstretched
natural waist unstretched 33"

What about half plus sized/half medium sized?

I have a 45" lower hip, and a Little 34C, with a 31" underbust up top.

I would like a dress, but thinking I'm going to have to costume order it...
