Thread: ISO trumpet skirt 40-45" hip

Howdy, I'm looking for trumpet (or other slinky-type) skirts (preferably with matching arm things) with a 40-45" hip (high hip).

Under $100 would be nice too!

(I realize I'm looking after a bunch of these have been sold, bad timing!).

Well, I'm short...I think 36-38 would work depending on stretchiness, maybe 35 if no stretch. :-)

I have a dark green (forest color??--hard to describe)...I am 5'6" and skirt is 34" long, and fits, so I am confused about the length you need (or maybe I wear my skirts too low?)

Maybe I'm confused...I'm 5'3 and short waisted...

Nope, measured my chiffon (34ish) and my 25 yard (36). So I can do 34.

So I guess you wear your skirts low! :-)

(I can fold to shorten in a pinch, so length isn't too concerning, I think)

Hiya. I have three options that would work for you.

Copper stretch velvet, skirt only, $45.

Turquoise stretch velvet, skirt and long-sleeved pinch-front top, $90. This is from L. Rose, so you could order armbands to match.

Red stretch crushed velvet, skirt and U-top with sleeve drapes, $90. I think there are also gauntlets for this one, or an extra piece of fabric that could be made into armbands. Will double-check if you're interested.

The turquoise and red would both be fab with your silver set. :)

The red is cherry. The turquoise is very saturated: deep, not light. Camera battery is d-e-d dead but let me see if I can find you swatches -- just a sec.
Either color would be very pretty on you. If I were choosing for you I think I'd choose the red first because the top is a U-top and therefore more useful for performance.

Pics of the red top. Cherry red, no orange undertones. The pinkish tones are from light reflection on the nap of the panné.

Length at center back is 37", but curves will take up some of that. Widest part of hip unstretched is about 44". Bottom of trumpet is very full. No slit. :)

Sleeves and belly-cover -- essentially a matching tube top for your middle that turns the set into a dress.

(Dahlal is a bit long but I could prolly hem and use remnants for arms covers...)
