for youtube experts -- vlog descriptions

This is my youtube channel. If you go to it, then go down to where my video log is, you'll see that for the vids I've put in my vlog (all Egyptian dancers; Americans/Europeans are in a separate playlist), I've opted to replace the video description with my own, prefaced by "sedonia's comments". I do this as a learning resource for my students My description only shows if you view the vids in my vlog. Problem is I've typed a lengthy description, but only like 6 lines of it show. There is no "more" button like there is when you're viewing the original video. Is there a way to change this, and if not, why the heck does it let you put a whole long paragraph in the field in the first place if its going to cut it off?
