    Editing AAC protected files?

I usually edit my songs to cut-off any residue silence or to trim for certain performances. However, I just came across a song that won't let me due to AAC protection. Has anyone heard of this? Is there a way to work around it?

The only way I know to get around DRM is clunky and, sadly, wasteful: burn the song on CD, re-import, and then edited the non-protected file.

    Mediacoder doesn't do MAC : (

If you don't want to wast a CD, there is an app called Audio Hijack that can record the song back to your hard drive. It is in real time though, so I'm usually lazy and just burn a CD.
