Looking for basic info for calibrating monitor for printing photographs. My pix tend to come back with a reddish hue ... a bit much. I've tried the Adobe gamma option, but it was hard to actually see much changing when I was doing it and there was no change in the photos [which look perfect on-screen].

What is it that I need? - software, hardware???? I'm a passionate amateur photographer, and I send pix to snapfish for printing.....so I'm not looking to purchase some hugely expensive software or whatever. Also, what exactly does one DO to calibrate?
