easy to use song editor?

hi everyone,
i'm trying to cut down a song, but i'm unsure of how to edit it. i downloaded wavepad sound editor but i cant figure it out. is there another easy program for song editing out there?

I like "Audacity" - works pretty well for me :)

I use Audacity as well, I think it's quite easy to use and there are tutorials on the website as well to help you learn the basics.

garage band comes with mac and is very easy to use, so if you happen to have one you can use that. i've never heard bad things about audancity tho.

I've used Wavepad for a while now, never had any problems with it, I really like it.

I'm using a free trial version of Goldwave. You get about 3000 clicks for free, enough to last for quite a while GoldWave - Audio Editor, Recorder, Converter, Restoration, & Analysis Software
