HELP! Uploading video onto a website?

I want to put a video of a dance I'm working on up onto my website so that someone very special who lives on the other side of the Atlantic can access it and critique it for me.

To test whether I could do it, I tried converting a movie file I already had into Apple Quicktime Pro, thinking I could then load it onto my site. But it made 86mgs! So way too big to put up.

I'm a complete novice at this, could anyone advise me on how to put movies up on the web. My dance is 6 minutes long and I'd be converting from my digital video camera. I have Windows Movie Maker and Magix Movie Edit Pro as well as Quicktime Pro.

Any help anyone could give would be SO appreciated...

In movie maker, export the file as a small high quality video. This will make the video "you tube" size in dimension and the file size should be smaller.

There maybe a better way using the other software, I don't know.

or you can use DivX Converter, but the code is little tricky. I work for DivX, and there is something called Web Player where other person can download it and watch it on your site, otherwise you can put a link to your video and tell them they need to download free DivX bundle from DivX website and open the video with DivX Player.
I can send you the code if you like. if you want to go to my site and look to see if you like it.

I would use like HubicRuzz recommended Movie Maker program by Apple.

How about going low-tech, (relatively speaking!) & putting it on Youtube as a private video clip then emailing the link and the password to the intended viewer.
