my McAfee takes over 24 hours to do a full scan

is that normal? I bought the laptop used and it runs a little slow and I don't really know how to fix that. But I was curious if this is normal for McAfee? It tales so long and of course makes everything so slow during the scan.

Goddess knows what is on the thing if you bought it used. It could just be LOT of files/programs, or it could need a good cleanup.

Wow...that's really long. Was the laptop reformatted before you purchased it? If not, it would be a good idea to reformat it.

If you don't feel like reformatting try defragmenting it...

I have defraged it and it didn't help. I don't know what pcpitstop.com is. I'll have to give you a call in the next few days. Thanks.
