Website check/review please :)

I had been teaching at a location (an hours drive away) for past couple of years. But that studio closed - and I recently hired on at a performing arts studio only 10 minutes away (yaaay for reducing my carbon footprint).

Anyhoo - I rewrote my entire class syllabus and had a new website done for the the dance program. It recently launched, and I was really excited about it untill I pulled it up on the studio computer and saw that where the info & everything is at was reduced to a quarter of the page (it fills up the whole screen on my computer at home).

Could you all give it a looksee and provide feedback?
Since the whole dance program (not just the website) is new, I don't have any pics/vids on the gallary page as yet. But other than that how does it look?

hi Chandra,

the link underneath your post is not working, so I followed the URL. I looked at the lay-out, not at the content of the website. It fit's my small screen at home, though it's located on the left side. I personally prefer centered websites, people with wide screen monitors will thank you.

I'm not very fond of the picture frame, because I can't see the complete text/pictures at the same time. I like the navigation, clear and structured, and the lay-out of the website is professional, balanced an pretty at the same time. Good job!

I placed it to the left because I plan to obtain corporate/business sponsors for my dance program - and premium sponsors will have their logos/links located on the right.

All your content is up on the upper left quarter of my screen. Google Chrome and IE 8.

Hmmm...
thats weird - cause I have IE8 and can see it normal size.
Anyone know how I can get it to fill the screen no matter what browser a person is viewing it uses?

When I'm looking at it, the text is not centered within the little white card/windows. It's all down towards the bottom of the window.

Did you make it, or someone else? I've never seen that design before. It's nice but the 'card' doesn't take up the whole window - maybe your sponsors will take up the right side? I'm confused. Anyway, it's nice, but I have a big moniter -

As i know from php tutorial it is necessary to pay attention to:
* Writing of robots.txt
File robots.txt is for prohibition to some search robots on site or its part indexation. File robot.txt is located in radical catalogue of a site and allows choosing a priority mirror of a site for some search engines
* Usage of JavaScript, Flash
Search engines are not always can correctly process links on JavaScript, therefore it is desirable to use them as less as possible. The elements of a site executed on Flash, are not indexed by many search systems. If internal links of the project are made in Flash, the majority of search systems will not find these pages.
Each time when there is a new page on a site, it becomes to the known search engine only when it will be found by the robot of the search engine. If the page is located in the heart of a site, it can occur very much at a distant day. Sitemap placing frequently solves a problem of indexation and site reindexation.
* Dynamical pages
Dynamical pages are indexed not good or even not indexed by search systems.
